We have been incredibly fortunate in our lives to never have to experience the difficulties we’ve seen in the world. We traveled to the Philippines in 2012 with another non-profit to distribute solar lights and fell in love with the country and its people. We were also devastated by the poverty and hunger that is rampant. We were also introduced to Moringa oleifera, one of the world’s most nutritious plants, growing wild throughout much of the country. Yet, those who needed it most were not using it. With the desire to bring knowledge about indigenous plants and nutrition, as well as a desire to help empower those with very little, we founded Energy2Thrive. We’re all looking to make a difference in our world and we believe that by focusing on indigenous plants and resources, we’re going to make the most substantial impact.
